If a design proposal is not presented an approved, then the possibility exists for the student to be re-assigned to the Studio level class or asked to drop the course.

Project Proposal Form

Please COPY and fill out the form as soon as possible. I am available to meet with you to help guide this process. After you have completed the form, please schedule a time to conference with me so we can confirm your project. After your proposal has been approved please post it to your e-portfolio.

Documentation of your Project

All of the work that you do in the course of your project must be documented in your e-portfolio. The form that this takes will vary depending on the structure of your project. In general it is the process which is important to document as completely as possible. At the end of your project your will be required to make a comprehensive presentation of your work that must include the documentation of your process, as well as the final product,in whatever form. If you have done a good job of keeping your portfolio up to date, you will find that creating your final presentation will be much easier and the end result much better.

Some things to consider documenting:

  • sketches
  • photographs of models
  • any research you have conducted
  • any reflective writing (I encourage you to keep a running record of your thoughts and feelings as you work through your project.

Presentation of your Project

At the end of your project, you are required to make a comprehensive presentation of your project. This includes your process as well as your final product. Essentially you are telling the story of your project. Again, the specifics of your project will determine the exact design of your presentation, and you will consult with me as to the specific details of your presentation.

Your presentation will be graded as a stand alone element and contribute to your final grade for the course.
